1. What is the shelf life of the bait:

Store the bait for 14 Months in a cold and dry space. No need to refrigerate.

2. How long before we can see results:

In 3 - 4 weeks after placing the traps in the hive you will see a significant reduction in SHBs

3. How many traps per hive and where should I place them:

We recommend two traps per hive. At the bottom if you have a hard board bottom, or at the top under the lid if you have a screen bottom board. Place the traps in diagonal corners.

4. How much bait to load in an empty trap:

Using a hive tool or a putty knife load the middle square of the trap with bait. Close the trap completely (you should hear a snap) before inserting them in the hive.

5. How often do I need to refill the traps:

Depending on the level of infestation you are dealing with. In general every 2 - 4 months.

6. Do I need to do any other maintenance to the trap:

Every time you work the hive please check the side slots are opened and the SHBs have access to the bait.
